Ski Rainbow

Our car pulled up in the carpark at Rainbow Ski Field. It was our class ski trip. Ruby, Jacqui, my brothers, my dad and I all pulled on our warm clothes and went to get our skiis fitted. First we all had to have lesson. Then I started on the beginner slope. After lunch I went on the intermediate slope. Before the end of the day my dad took me up the T-bar. We came down the Goat Trail. The next time we went up we came down the Shirt Front. When we got to the bottom we were told that we had to pack up and get ready to leave. Exhausted people climed into cars and we all drove back down the mountain.

Nelson Visitor Centre

We went to the Nelson Visitor Centre because of our study of tourism. We asked the staff a few questions. My question was "Do you ever struggle with understanding people who don't know English, and how do you deal with it?" The answer was yes, and the staff usually ask lots of questions and they have a japanese speaking person to helping out. We had a look around the info centre then walked back to school.

Cable Bay Camp

On the 27th of March we came to school and for some people it was just another ordinary school day but not for room 7. Today room 7 were going on camp. We met up by the library and when everyone was there we piled into our cars and started driving out to Cable Bay! When we got to the Cable bay campsite it was raining so we got a bit wet putting up our tents. It was still raining when we went down to the beach. We had to make shelters out of 3 poles, a tarpoulin and a length of string. By the time we were finished we were fully drenched. Soon it stopped raining and we made sculptures out of stuff we found on the beach. The next day we climbed up Peppin island and drew charcoal drawings of Deleware bay. Our camp went so quickly which means we had fun because time flies when you're having fun!

ME!!

Hi, I'm Sabine.
I really like art, animals and reading. I go to Nelson Central School and I am a year 6. My favorite animal is a wolf. The best books I've read are the "His Dark Materials" trilogy. I like being outdoors and I like sport.
